I don't think this book is Newbery material -- but do NOT let that stop you from reading it! It is cute and funny and will make such a fun read aloud. Great book for a reluctant reader.

It's always fun to learn about new funny books! And isn't it time for a funny book to win again???

I agree that it's not Newbery material, but it was very creative. A fun, quick read.

I enjoyed this quite a lot, but while reading it to 1st and 2nd graders I watched most of the humor float right over thier heads.

I agree with all comments here. This was a fun read aloud but I think the humor would be lost on younger kids. Great book but I don't feel Newbery material.
