"This book was awesome! I really enjoyed how the plot moved along and I really liked how everything unravelled in the last 10 pages. It was very suspenseful and I really liked the main character. This is a story where the moral is very obvious and I liked that because it is sometimes hard for me to find morals in stories nowadays. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to everyone.
I liked reading the book more than I liked the ending.
This book is reviewed at gr 9 and up. I loved Down the Rabbit Hole, but I think this title is probably too advanced for Newbery. Perhaps Printz?
I agree with Jan that this book may not be appropriate for Newbery. I also agree with Inmicoon that the book as a whole was good, but the ending was extremely predictable and slightly disappointing in my opinion. Not at the top of my list for Newbery or Printz.
A fun read, but I wouldn't classify it as great literature. I would agree with the others that the audience falls above the age-range for Newbery.
There is no way this is Newbery material-- in the first 30 pages the F word appears twice and there's implied sex (fade to black kind of thing). Printz Award material for sure.
