Reading our Mock Caldecott blog, I was reminded that it's almost time for the second reading list for our Mock Newbery!
Which titles do YOU think are worthy of being kept and brought to the table for in-person discussion in January? Are there any titles we've missed that should be added? Let us know -- by the end of this month we will be compiling List 2, and we'd love to have YOUR input! Just email your suggestions to mvoors@acpl.info or post your suggested titles here in the comments. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please include Heart of a Shepherd.
Eva Perry Mock Newbery middle schoolers have just posted their second Short List at:

Several of the same titles as are here.
I really appreciate reading comments here of these titles.
Ms. Martha
I think you should include:
The Brooklyn Nine by Alan Gratz
Born to Fly by Michael Ferrari
What about "The Magician's Elephant" by Kate DiCamillo?
I just read an ARC copy...it was OK but not the best she has written.
