There were many delightful aspects to the book -- the cloud shapes were fun, and the exchanges between Sally and Sally are perhaps worthy of a book of their own. My problem with the book is the level of absurdity. We all enjoy moments of absurdity but I felt the Puddles were mired in it. When they started climbing over the endless list of garbage items while stranded at the Frankolins -- I lost interest.

It was interesting, too, to listen to the audio version of the book because the arguing between the parents got really old really fast. I imagine that if I was reading the text myself I wouldn't have minded so much.

I don't know, Dawn, the arguing was quite annoying in print, as well. I would have been very happy with a book about Sally and Sally -- no other Puddles necessary.

I too, listened to the audiobook, and felt it get old fast. I also had big doubts when they brought in Scott, the "Secret Catcher", wondering why on earth they were bringing his character in. It only took until Frankolin told us he was adopted for me to figure out where he fit in to this twisted story. Sally squared were definitely my favorite characters!
