There is not a thing wrong with this book. I is lovely and perfect in every way from the lyrical writing to the stunning illustrations. I just don't know a single kid who is looking for it.

I'm a kid (10 years old) I read it and I think kids who are into poetry would like it!

I think I will have to give this one another try later this year. I have heard nothing but praise for this book, but had a hard time getting into it and keeping with it while I read it. I can't place a finger on the exact reason I didn't find this book exceptional, I just thought it was "ok".

I would have to echo DaNae's comments. Fine book but only a very few children would seek this one out.

I agree with Jill's comment. i thought the narrator was whiny and gave up after the second chapter. Maybe it gets better later on, but I don't think kids will stick around long enough to read it - I didn't.
