For some reason, I couldn't access the printable list. Any ideas about what I could be doing wrong?

Also, please add The Rock and the River by Magoon to one of the final reading lists. Thanks!

Teresa -

We have been having some problems with internet connections at the Library recently. You may have tried to access this list when our IT folks took the system offline for repairs on the equipment. Hopefully you can access the printable list when you try it again.

We will certainly add The Rock and the River to a future reading list. Thanks for recommending it. It's a powerful read!

I'm wondering about how to handle my 10-yr-old son's disappointment with the books he's picked up so far. He had fun with the Mock Newberry election last year (though we joined late and read a short list) and started out excited this year. I think he's finished one book from the list and put down three others, and he's losing interest because the books have not been appealing to him. We decided together to give a book a 3 chapter try before setting it down, but now I'm considering the merits and drawbacks of looking for the kind of books he already likes to read on these lists (the ones he's had have been chosen based strictly on availability). Any thoughts?

Please consider adding Mare's War by Tanita Davis to the discussion list.

Thanks!
